Nurtured by a mother who was a talented amateur photographer and a grandmother who was an artist, Kristen LeQuire developed a deep appreciation for art and a keen eye behind the lens at an early age. Raised in the Lowcountry near beautiful and historic Charleston, SC, she first studied photography and film development at The Gibbes Art Museum in downtown Charleston where her love of the arts began. She went on to study Renaissance art in Florence, Italy and jewelry design at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in Carlsbad, CA, where she earned a graduate degree in gemology. Kristen spent a year in Paris where she continued to hone her skills and interests while developing a love for fine food and its presentation.
While living in Charlotte, NC, Kristen assisted photographer Ellen Yale and learned about lighting, portrait posing, and client service. She continues to invest in her education through attending photography workshops and courses at the International Center of Photography in New York.
Now specializing in weddings, portraiture, food photography, and food styling, all of Kristen's passions come together. She strives to bring a personal, individual approach to each client, capturing the unique memories they want to create and preserve.
Kristen LeQuire graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2005 with a Political Science degree. She resides in Mt. Pleasant, SC with her husband Josh and their two children, Ben and Laura.
